President Jacob Zuma arrived in Namibia on Wednesday evening for a
state visit, the presidency said.
It said in a statement there would also be an
inauguration of a bi-national commission between the two countries.
"This will serve as an important
mechanism for the strengthening and enhancement of co-operation between South
Africa and Namibia."
Zuma was
accompanied by International Relations Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane, Trade and Industry
Minister Rob Davies, Science MinisterDerek Hanekom, Water and Environmental Affairs
Minister Edna Molewa, Defence MinisterNosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula and Police
MinisterNathi Mthethwa.
