Nigerian University Lecturers Wanted In Uganda

The Islamic University in Uganda has demanded for the service of fifty seven Nigerian lecturers..

The demand was made based on the agreement the Uganda authority had with Nigeria. The Nigerian government had agreed to supply Uganda with skilled personnel as required.

Director-General of the Directorate of Technical Aid Corps, Pius Osunyikanmi said the written request was submitted through the Nigerian Embassy in Kampalla.

Most of the Nigerian lecturers have been on strike since July over the failure of the federal government to honour the 2009 agreement with Academic Staff Union of Universities.
