A Nigerian man from the South Eastern part of Nigeria has bath his wife with liquid substances suspected to be acid and forced her to drink some of it..The man is said to be on the run,while the police are presently on his trail..

A man from Obiofia,
Nnewichi, Nnewi, Anambra State, Oct. 11, poured acid on his wife. Eye witnesses said Sunday Eze, 33, on that day went to his
father-in-law's house at Edoji Uruagu to visit with 23-year-old Ebere Eze (nee
Agwuncha), his wife, who had moved back in with her parents after quarreling
with him (her husband). Sunday convinced his wife to come with him to go see
where he supposedly bought a new piece of land. On approaching Oraifite/Ichi in
Ekwusigo LGA, Sunday started beating his wife before bathing her with acid,
even forced her to swallow some of it and then disappeared into thin air. The
lady's cry for help attracted passersby and policemen who rushed her to Nnamdi
Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, where she later died. Yesterday, Sunday,
from his hideout called his dead wife's family, asking for their forgiveness
