He was known in the 90s as the funky mallam.
He was one of the best pop artistes in the 90s from the North. He rose
to become the President of the biggest Artiste Union in Africa, the Performing
Musical Association of Nigeria (PMAN).
After a successful tenure, he relocated to the United States of America,
where he has been operating a musical studio.
But reporting reaching CKN Africa has it that former PMAN President
Mustapha Amego is down with Cancer in the US and needs urgent prayers
This is the message pushed out by his friends from the USA.
“We are needing to
reach out to Mustapha's friends, and realized the Facebook was our best way to
contact everyone. Mustapha has been battling cancer for a few years. Some of
you may not know not have know he was sick, and this news may come as a great
surprise. The doctors have done their best; but now it is in Gods hands. We ask
you send him prayers and love. He is currently in Intensive Care at the
